Dinner at La Victoria’s was soooo good, as always. Not to sound like a total Bay Area stereotype, but I could probably drink their orange sauce. It is the perfect blend of cheesy, mayonnaisey, spicy, salsa goodness. I can’t even explain it’s delicious flavor, and I would do crazy crazy things for the recipe.
Vanessa, Kaitlyn, and I had a great time catching up about our schools, the latest dance team news (yeah, we miss our glory days a bit too much), and eating the awesome food we have missed while being away at our colleges.
We ventured over to Yogurtland and were running on a crazy food-high. Vanessa is always so loud and I swear we are going to get banned from Yogurtland one of these days!!!
We walked over to the Dollar Store and basically made fun of all the random stuff in the store. We were extremely fascinated by Chef Swagger’s Noodles… maybe eating them will give me more swaggaaaaahhhh?
Even though we were criticizing the store’s random selection of “whowouldwantthis?” items, we all managed to find something to buy. I bought a sudoku book because I have an over-the-top love for sudoku and can’t get enough. I also got two plates that are shaped like a cute lion! Sudoku and little kid plates… I’m an odd mixture of a grandma and a little girl I guess. Kaitlyn got some Sour Patch Kids and a 100 Grand; Vanessa got a Coke glass and glow-in-the-dark hat. We are an odd bunch.
I went home and tried to tackle the daunting mountains of clothes that have somehow dispersed in every nook and cranny of my room. I basically need 5 more drawers to fit all of my clothes. San Diego = retail therapy, that’s all I gotta say.My mom came home from being at a bar where she was watching the Sharks game. Sharks lost majorly, which was quite an upset. After attempting to convince her to accompany me to the gym, I failed and had to drag my butt there all by myself.
I actually got a good workout today… Probably because I approached the treadmill with my iPhone (music) and Camelbak, AND NOTHING ELSE to distract me.I completed a treadmill interval workout that I made up randomly as I trekked along. Minutes were as follows:
1 – 3: Incline 1; Speed 4.0
3 – 4: Incline 1; Speed 6.8
4 – 5: Incline 1; Speed 7.5
5 – 6: Incline 1; Speed 6.8
6 – 7: Incline 1; Speed 7.5
7 – 8: Incline 1; Speed 6.8
8 – 9: Incline 1; Speed 7.5
9 – 10: Incline 1; Speed 6.8
10 – 11: Incline 1; Speed 7.5
11 – 12: Incline 1; Speed 6.8
12 – 13: Incline 1; Speed 7.7
13 – 18: Incline 1; Speed 6.8
18 – 19: Incline 1; Speed 7.5
19 – 20: Incline 1; Speed 6.8
20 – 25: Incline 15; Speed 4.3
25 – 26: Incline 5; Speed 4.0
26 – 27: Incline 1; Speed 3.8
Total time was 27 minutes, 2.75 miles! I actually ran 2.1 of them… Lauren I’m catching up to you ;)
… Just kidding I will probably be half-dead tomorrow.
I then did some arm-weights with 8 lb weights because I’m hellza strong. I finished off with 20 minutes of SUDOKU AWESOMENESS on the stationary bike (4.32 miles) and left sufficiently sweaty. The tomato-face returned… beware. At least I know the bike won’t turn me down for being too sweaty, it greets me with love erry-day.
Q4U: What is your favorite thing to do at the gym? Cardio (elliptical, treadmill, bike, other) or Weights (machines, mat work, hand weights)?I’m a cardio butthead, mostly because I’m lazy :) Gimme a magazine, my Google Reader, or some good music and I am good to go.
