On Sunday morning, I woke up early (7 AM! – this is early for me) and made my classic breakfast sandwich.  My mom and I went to go pick up Vanessa for our spontaneous one day trip to our house in Groveland, CA.  We woke up early, drove there, changed into walking clothes, and walked to the grill in the Pine Mountain Lake area.  We all were super hungry for lunch by the time we got there, and we sure weren’t disappointed.

By the golf course… super classy

My Seafood Salad… nomnomnom

Mom’s Mahi Mahi Sandwich and Sweet Potato Fries

Nessa’s Eggs Benedict (first time she had eggs that weren’t scrambled!!!)

After eating, we walked back and saw lots of pretty flowers.

Super cool backpack with body straps… SO NECESSARY

We enjoyed the new patio furniture that my mom ordered… a foldable bed that would be perfect for nighttime star-gazing!

Loungey Lounge

Then we snacked while working on one of my favorite puzzles.  It has all the presidents, the country, and famous historical landmarks all on it.  It went unpictured, but it’s awesome (you can take my word for it).

I made oatmeal for dinner because my mom didn’t want to cook, and there wasn’t much food in the pantry.  Vanessa made whole grain rotini with olive oil, bread crumbs, and a terrible pasta seasoning mix.  The seasoning basically killed it and we ended up getting ice cream for dessert.

Too bad it wasn’t good…

Pasta for the Garbage… at least it looked pretty!

Oatmeal, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Honey Bunches of Oats, Syrup, Pumpkin Pie Spice, WIN!

Rocky Road, Cookie Dough, Bunny Tracks = happy Grovelanders

We saw some pretty views on the way back; my mom decided we needed a detour, and it was worth it…

Then we watched Stepbrothers and I was literally sleeping by 9:45… we are party animalz for sure.  Monday recap coming next!
