Munchies and Miles

Upon returning home, I didn’t want to cook. I actually felt too tired to eat, which NEVER happens to me. I looked in the pantry and pulled out the Tasty Bite Spinach Dal meal I purchased about 4 months ago. I love spinach, so I figured I would like this. I added some carrots to make it a bit more substantial.
I’m glad I did. This box contained the weirdest goop ever. Granted it only took 2 minutes to cook in the microwave, it had totally subpar flavor. It was a lame consistency in my opinion, and I actually didn’t like the first few bites. As I ate it, my palette must have adjusted, because it started tasting better with eat bite… (ha Tasty Bite, I’m punny). I finished the bowl and immediately the salt overload kicked in. The two servings in this box had about 50% DV sodium, so I shouldn’t have been surprised. I wanted to satisfy my sweet tooth, hence my go to favorite. Popcorn with maple syrup and cinnamon, works every time.
I headed over to the gym for my daily workout. The gym was packed today!!! In celebration of National Running Day, I felt like I should run. I ran a mile, walked on super high incline (18), ran 0.6 miles, incline walked, and ran another 0.6 miles. Overall miles ran were 2.22 of my 3.36 completed miles. My total treadmill time summed up to 35 minutes.
I hopped onto a stationary bike because I didn’t get to bike today, and I weirdly missed it. I whipped out the sudoku and my legs whipped out some crazy pedaling. The last ten minutes kind of killed my legs, but I was proud to have biked for a full hour. Lotsa miles!
And then 10:30 hit! Snack time my friends! Naturally, I got in some more of my daily fruit needs and had a cereal strawberry bowl (x2). Multigrain Cheerios, corn flakes, and oats ‘n honey granola bar were smothered by strawbs. And then a bit of maple syrup… I have issues.
Q4U: What sweet flavor are you loving right now- chocolate, white chocolate, syrup, peppermint, coconut, etc?
As stated, I am overly obsessed with maple syrup. This has lasted for the past month or two and I don’t think it will be going away anytime soon. I wish they made maple syrup flavored gum <– serious issues.
Q4U: If maple syrup gum existed, would you chew the heck out of it like I would?!
HECK YES I WOULD!

An hour on the stationary bike, that’s impressive! I prefer “real” bike rides, I get so bored on the stationary ones!
I love maple syrup, but I am really loving the flavor mint chocolate right now! Esp in smoothies and icecream, soo good!
