This morning I got an EARLY phone call from the west coast. Kyle was headed to work around 6 am to finish up emails and apparently he needs to bring his car in to replace the brake pads. Yikes. He’s spending the 4th of July at a lake in Northern California and I’m spending the 4th at this lake in Southern Illinois. Same Same. But Different.

I started the morning with breakfast on the patio with my mom and David.

My cereal bowl had vanilla soy milk, MG Cheerios, blueberries, and crunchy peanut butter.

The three of us headed down to our newly renovated dock to clean and create a list for things to get at the store: toilet paper dispenser, umbrella stand, ladder to get up to the dock from in the water, etc.

Nicole woke up and prepped her breakfast…

Oat bran from Hodgson Mill with blueberries and maple syrup.

After cooking some more, it transformed into this:

We have shopping and baking on the to-do list today, before dinner at our Aunt Carol’s. Hopefully I’ll get to fit in some physical activity before then, especially because these bad boys call my name every 10 minutes….

Question: Do you ever use Hodgson Mill products?

Hodgson Mill has gluten free and vegan products, in addition to their huge supply of whole grain hot cereals, baking mixes, and pastas.  They also produce solar and wind power!  Nicole just noticed that they manufacture in EFFINGHAM of all places!! How cool is that?!
