Sunday’s dinner (part 1) included tortilla soup + toast with tahini and a side of Drop Dead Diva episodes on my computer. Dinner (part 2) involved a few bowls of cereal + almond milk WEEEAAAKKNESS

Anybody watch Drop Dead Diva?? It’s such a great summer show, I’ve been hooked since season 1 but I usually only watch online…

I added extra veggies to the bowl seen above…

Then I used more Asian stir-fry veggies (with asparagus!) + 1/4 can of black beans + remaining tortilla soup broth to flavor 2 cups of brown rice. After stirring in a few tablespoons of tahini, I had lunch ready for the next few days!!

See what I’m saying?

A bowl of this stuff reminded me of a strange (in a good way) curry dish. The soup broth was tomato-y and the tahini obviously has a strong ground seed flavor. Together, the nuttiness and extra roasted red pepper seasoning reminded me of Thai flavors.

Monday Night

After running by Best Buy to pick up a supernecessaryitem!!! I changed and got ready for the gym. At TRS I did an unusual run:

  • Start: 7.5 mph, incline 2.0
  • Every minute increase speed by 0.1 mph, keep incline constant at 2.0
  • Once you get through the minute at 8.5, wipe that sweat off your face and:
  • Every minute decrease speed by 0.1 mph, keep incline constant at 2.0
  • When you get through your last minute at 7.5:
  • Cool-down!

This was the perfect (HARD) way to increase my heart rate. Kyle called right as my time was up so I hopped off the machine, walked outside, and chatted with him before kickboxing class started…

Today’s class was great! Cardio heavy + just a little one-on-one kicks and punches = my favorite type of class! When the instructor told everyone to get their balls (the weighted ones, PEOPLE!!) I walked out…

  1. Mr. Kickboxing gets mad when people borrow his balls
  2. I don’t have a ball so I don’t participate in the ball action
  3. He yelled at the people who borrowed his balls while I snapped the above picture from outside
  4. I had to go get fro yo anyways!!

I picked up a gift for a certain friend in another state (any guesses ladies?!) and then filled up a lovely bowl of Orange Leaf’s:

  • taro fro yo with
    blueberries &
    one lone gummy bear
  • coffee fro yo and Reese’s peanut butter cup fro yo with
    crushed Reese’s &
    crushed Reese’s Pieces &
    two chocolate covered raisins

At home I watched HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS Part 1!!!

Yup, that’s what I bought at Best Buy earlier today… and you better bet when I was kicking and punching all I could think about was watching it at home with my fro yo and some chips and salsa!

Can you tell that tonight I have the place all to myself? Heh Heh.

So from Drop Dead Diva on the small computer screen to HP7P1 on the big screen, I’ve had two wonderful nights of entertainment and late night snacking :) Makes me one happy camper.

Question: Do you do the majority of TV watching online or live?

Question: Scale of one to hippogriff-loving-TEN, how big of a Harry Potter fan are you?

I’m going to say that I fall directly at 8.5. Here are pics of Kerry + Me at the premiere of Order of the Phoenix in London, summer 2007. We were able to go because we happened to be studying abroad there!! That was also the summer of book 7′s release and you better bet I went at midnight to buy it and finished it the following day on a bench in Kensington Gardens. < < won’t ever forget it!

  1. Awww snap, that’s amazing that you got to be there for the release of the books and the premiere of HP Order of the Phoenix!!

I must admit, though I haven’t re-read or re-watched them lately, two summers ago, I reread all 7 in about 10 days and, on a particularly tipsy night, was CONVINCED that my beau and I were in mortal peril because he-who-shall-not-be-named was coming after us. Yeah. People thought I was ACTUALLY a nutter.

  2. ME ME ME! But really, do you have friends in other states? Probably you do I just can’t think of who they are… Krista? She does have a pretty special event coming up!

I’m gauging myself at 9. .5 points above you because as far as I recall, you’ve never believed talking about HP to be an effective flirting strategy… Also, how do you think Emerson’s doing these days?

    • DING DING! Email me your address Katieeeeeee.

Shoot. You’ve proved me wrong time and time again that it IS INDEED an effective flirting strategy. When will I learn?

Emerson’s great, I just chatted with him the other day about the new movie’s release…. oh wait, that was CBS news, not me.
