Well, Lauren sure got to experience The Row last night.  Funny thing is, we didn’t really take any pictures there.

Let’s start from the top of the night.

After eating at The Grinder and filling our bellies up, we did what all girls do– we got ready to go out while listening to music!  I showered while Lauren did her makeup and then we threw together our outfits for the night.

Things got really exciting when I realized I had a stash of purple glitter.  Something about glitter makes everything better.

The mixer’s theme was “You Are What You Drink” and I decided to be Purple Drank.  Lauren chose her favorite soda of all time, Dr. Pepper.  No joke, Lauren used to drink about 5+ cans of Dr. P per day when we were younger.  Our parents would let us drink as much soda and eat as much junk food as we wanted to; they are lucky we turned out to be somewhat health-conscious ;)

Purple Drank: purple shiny dress, Nike dunks, sign that says “purple drank” on one side and “sizzurp” when flipped up.

Dr. Pepper: nurse hat, red dress and skirt, nametag courtesy of a bottle of Dr. P, black Toms (would be better if they were red)

Lauren wished she had a stethoscope to complete the outfit, but unfortunately there wasn’t one in my costume box.

A ghetto pose (not really) and a faux clipboard added to the ambiance of the outfits.

On the rest of my floor, people were dressing up as each other in celebration of my friend Monika’s birthday.  My friend Ashwin decided to dress up as me, and I generously lent him some Delta Gamma gear.

He pulled it off; although some shorter shorts would have been more realistic :)

My friend Emily (from DG) met up with my sister and I before heading to The Row.  She dressed as Shirley Temple.

Here are some other pictures of people on my floor dressed up as each other… the camera got a little random…

Party animals.

La La La, then we finally left and walked to The Row.

We talked to lots of people, but eventually found our way to the ice luge.

Welcome back to college.

I wish I would have taken more photos at the party, but I didn’t :( Just imagine lots of random outfits and typical college shenanigans.

After about 45 minutes (or shorter, or longer, who knows), we headed to DG to eat some grub!  Enter: honey greek yogurt, tortillas, peanut butter, toast, etc?  And water!

On the way back to my dorm we stopped by my friend’s frat and peeked in.  Apparently it was beer pong night and Lauren and I jumped right in.

This wasn’t your normal 10 cup BP game though, it was 21 cup.  We only played one game, talked to some people, and then left.

And then we zonked out pretty hard.

Recap of today coming soon :)  Have a good Friday night and getcho party on.

  1. I couldn’t help but wonder what you would have to wear if you decided to dress up as kombucha. I love the costumes! I think your friend pulled you off pretty well.

  3. I love your guys’ costumes!!! I did a Wear what you drink party in college and I did Malibu and dressed up tropical (haha although I actually hated malibu!) Sounds like you guys had such a fun time together!

  4. ah I love the doctor pepper costume so cute!!! is “purple drank” an actual drink? I haven’t heard of it…

    • it’s like a ghetto drink haha… apparently its a mix of grape juice, cold medicine, and alcohol. it’s absolutely terrible and SO bad for your system. I would never try it, I just wanted an excuse to wear purple (fave color) and wear my Nike dunks ;)
