Today I slept until 11:30 am. +100 points
Breakfast became lunch.
It was my fourth time making this tasty egg/black bean/salsa combo (this time spinach in the place of pepperoncini). +35 points
I watched 6 episodes of Mad Men. +260 points
Between episode 4 and 5 I went for a 5 mile run. +155 points
Oh, and I squeezed in another day of Jamie Eason’s LiveFit trainer program. +200 points
And this all happened on a Monday. +20000 points
This week is our “company shutdown” and I plan on enjoying the 5 work-free days to their fullest. The freedom left me a little confused about what day it actually was. How can I sleep in AND get a quality work out AND have hours to veg out in front of the TV? Did I step in a time machine and transport myself back to the summer of 2004?
While I no longer have a 2 hour 20 minute round-trip commute to Monterey for work, I do spend close to 2 hours in my car stuck in Bay Area traffic on the way to work. In 2012, I should have a permanent carpool buddy that will put up with my all-over-the-place schedule. Thanks, roomie ;)
said typed, this atypical Monday is a welcome break! I’ve been all over the place lately and haven’t come close to 8 hours of sleep in a looooong time. The ginger party, almond butter extravaganza, and hanging out with Nicole has kept me up too late too often. In 2012 I really need to focus on getting adequate sleep. Maybe then I would remember what LiveFit days I’ve done… I really did not know if today was Day 64 or Day 71. I chose 71 because it looked easier and didn’t have me hopping around my gym like a lunatic.
Want to see a collage from yesterday’s Christmas festivities at our dad’s house?
My photo-taking attention span maxed out after emptying out our stockings, the breakfast of pastries, and holiday Jeopardy. Steve and Amy put together such a fun game of Jeopardy with trivia like Answer: Tells the story of the first Christmas – What is the bible?
Ooh, just kidding. I found these on my phone:
Christmas dinner tasted a lot like Thanksgiving dinner, with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and gravy. After dinner we enjoyed strawberry ice cream, leftover breakfast pastries, and more coffee!! Nicole won Apples to Apples and my cards reaffirmed that I am both horrifying and outrageous. Sweeeeet.
We loved spending time with our dad, Lauretta, Katie, Steve and Amy yesterday. Merry Christmas, indeed!
So does this mean that tomorrow is Tuesday?
