Happy Snapper

A snappy post… Last night’s dinner at Happy Snapper in Playa Flamingo (fairly Americanized but lots of other places were closed):

We used a self-timer app on my iPhone called TimerCam… Then boarded a free taxi to drive the 7 mins to Happy Snapper (the driver thought he was playing Mario Kart I think)

Fish Ceviche

And somewhat family-style dinners:

Fran’s chipotle mahi mahi (super spicy sauce!!!)

My red snapper with plantains, avocado, rice and beans (was not expecting this, but was very delicious – especially the charbroiled bits!)

Krish’s fish n’ chips (might have been my favorite – the fish was impeccably light and that tartar sauce was omg good)

Jacquelyn’s seabass (tasty, sweet sauce was a nice change from the HEAT of Fran’s fish dish)

Kerry’s stuffed mushroom and clam dish (we all loved the sauce!)

And there were drinks:

And Swedish ~~fish~~ folks:

And dessert!! Even though we were beyond stuffed, we ordered a slice of coconut flan for the table…

K… That’s about all the time I’ve got to spare – we are catching a catamaran in 10!

Looks like such a fun meal! You look gorgeous in your orange dress, as do the other girls- minimal makeup and still naturally beautiful :)

And I’m digging the see-through top in the last photo… very “row-ish”… might have to borrow ;)

I’m loving these pictures!! My parents absolutely loved Costa Rica and we’re planning a trip there soon. I hope the catamaran was awesome! Enjoy the beautiful weather and sun!!
