Cinco de Mayo!!

¿Como estas?!

This morning I woke up for a quick run (yup, proud of myself for that) to Stanford and back.

My run conveniently ended at Starbucks :) they gave out free samples of their raspberry cake, which I stirred into my oat bran back at home (+ bananas).

Kyle and I packed up our camping/rafting gear for the weekend and went to load up the car when we heard a ridiculously annoying beeping noise coming from Nicole’s car. We popped the hood and noticed the sound was coming directly from underneath the fuse box.

Neither of us are car-smart, so we googled it and the problem wasn’t going to be an easy fix in any way. The temp solution? Unplug the battery! I’ll have to deal with this when I get back to the car Sunday. ¡Aye dios mío!

Once on the road, we abandoned our original course and followed this guy:

I also picked up some candy + cherry Coke from CVS and jumper cables for Sunday’s inevitable jump. Nicole – I’ll get your car all fixed up by the time you’re home, I hope. :/

We are rafting the South Fork of the American River and camping in Coloma (sp?) – only problem is that I forgot to grab my wetsuit, towel, and SLEEPING BAG while fretting about the dumb clicking noise. Ergggg. At least I’ve got my clothes!

On the way to the campsite, we stopped in Davis for a few brunch drinks at DeVeres Pub…

Pimm’s cup for me and margaritas for practically everyone else.

Here’s the birthday boy, Aaron. He and his brother planned this 21-person trip!
