Wednesday Seven
Posted by Nicole
Happy Wednesday and Happy National Running Day! Here are seven scenes from my day.
1- Lunch was super delicious today. In the big container went spinach, peas, egg whites, about two cups of mushrooms (my favorite lately), rice veggie mix, and some ranch dressing. Weird combo, but a good one.
2- This is my view at work. I feel like a total bo$$ with double monitors. It’s a pretty nice setup for a lowly intern!
3- I went on a great walk while waiting for my carpool pickup. It felt great to stretch my legs after sitting at the desk all day.
4- Speaking of leg stretching, after dinner, I joined my mom and David for a twilight run.
5- My mom likes to be obnoxious and wear matching outfits in public. When David put on his orange shirt and black shorts, my mom immediately put on a matching outfit. I one-upped her dorkiness by changing into my red long sleeve shirt (from last year’s Turkey Trot) and some black shorts. We looked like a trail of ducks.
6- It was nice to celebrate National Running Day with a comfortable, enjoyable run. I’m thankful that I got to run outside, not on a treadmill, and with people I love.
7- And the fun doesn’t stop there! We took advantage of the $20 off discount that Rock ‘n Roll is offering in celebration of National Running Day. The three of us signed up for the Pasadena Rock ‘n Roll 1/2 Marathon for next February. I’m crossing my fingers that there is a basketball game that weekend so they can watch me dance on the court!
That’s all folks…
