Post-MBF, More Bop It, A Dude Stew

After Megan’s fantastic tea party bridal shower, I hopped in the car and drove to Monterey to meet up with my Cal Poly friends – with a quick pit stop to get Krish first!

Why Monterey? Well, a LOT of my pals flocked to the picturesque town for Monterey Beer Festival (MBF). I LOVE that event. I missed the 2012 celebration, but I’ll be back in 2013!  (2010 and 2011) I made sure that as soon as MBF was over, our friends immediately walked across the street for a “pre-gathering” ;) at our hotel.

By the way, I loved our hotel! It was a decent price, across the street from the festival, recently remodeled, and it ever so happily accommodated my friends……….

After the hotel shenanigans, everybody found their way to Tyler & Clay’s house for tacos and drinks (our beach bonfire plans were sidelined due to laziness the convenience of staying at T & C’s).

Before the tacos + basketball + other stuff, the guys recreated “Dude Stew.” Somebody correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe Dude Stew came to be during NYE in Big Bear, CA. It is simple:

pick-up truck + tarp + water + dudes = Dude Stew (who said this wasn’t a recipe blog?)

On Sunday, the majority of us met for breakfast at the Breakfast Club in Seaside! I used to go here when I lived in Seaside… read about it on my old blog, here. Party of Twelve!

I split the breakfast burrito and mixed berry waffle – what a terrific idea! :)

And, of course, no weekend would be complete without some Bop It:
