SF Weekend + a Huge Group of Girls
Posted by Lauren
SUCH. AN. AMAZING. WEEKEND. Please excuse the tense inconsistencies, below.
Friday
Work, commute home, pack for the weekend, impromptu family dinner.
Blog about the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee musical.
Pick up Sarah, buy 2 dozen eggs, pick up Kerry at the airport!
Drive to San Francisco – more specifically, Krish’s place in Nob Hill
Enjoy great snacks and cocktails. When Sarah leaves for SoMa, the rest of us finally make it out the door for a bar visit
This was us (not really, maybe, I don’t know):
2 am stop for Bob’s Donuts, totally natural.
Yes, that is a $5 BFD (big freakin’ donut). One of my favorite moments of the entire weekend was the second that Krish ordered that beauty.
Sleepover!
Saturday
Eggs on the rooftop… check out the Still Time t-shirt twin-ness.
After breakfast, get ready > walk walk walk > check out the North Beach Festival
Sample ice cream from a Wonka Truck… ours had potato chips in it!
Graduate from ice cream to gelato, at Gelateria Naia on Columbus. Enjoy 1/2 strawberry, 1/2 pistachio <– everyone loved their pistachio.
Soak up the sun at Washington Square Park. Say hi to Mr. Jordan.
Walk back to Krish’s… dancer girls (Fran, Kathleen, Sarah, Ilia) leave to go back to Orange County. Kerry and I go on an adventure!
Bucket List item, check!
We share a pork tamale pie, kale salad, and a PIE SHAKE, at Chile Pies & Ice Cream. Our pie shake includes milk, 1 slice apple/strawberry pie, and cookie jar ice cream from three twins! Ridiculous, yes, but also spectacular.
Walk to Marina. Walk to Nob Hill. Walk Walk Walk… (8 miles total for the day!)
Nara Sushi + Victor’s Pizza takeout with 21st Amendment brews. (Yes, we choose Victor’s because of our friend Victor, whose birthday is today as a mater of fact.)
Krish returns from the Tracy detour… la la la, singing, dancing, awkward neighbor moments, la la la… and then out to Shanghai Kelly’s!
Become BFFs with the Irish, golf-loving folks and bartender. Call it a night!
Sunday
Brunch at Bell Tower - my choice: cinnamon French toast swimming in a pool of syrup
Quick Crissy Fields photo shoot
Drop Kerry off at the Oakland airport.
Run! 5-4-3-2-1 x 4 on the gym treadmill
Grab groceries from TJ’s, prep food with Nicole
Father’s Day dinner with our ‘Daddio’ (more on that later…)
I’m pooped.
In an effort to squeeze all the main points in to this post, I’ve blantantly skipped over the fact that Kerry is amazing for flying up to SF, Fran is incredible for extending her long week of dancing by a day for more festivities, and Krizia – wow! – such a phenomenal host!! We all owe her a big THANK YOU for everything!
The girls celebrated my birthday a little early (thus the tiara) and it meant so much to me to be around my college roomies and other close friends. Love them, miss them already… Ok, let’s bring on the BIRTHDAY WEEK!!! :)
Share the highlight of your weekend with us!

That looks like such a fun weekend with your girlfriends! I love weekends like that! And that video was hilarious and some parts were def true! I’m definitely adding some of these places to my must-go SF list- the food looks delish! Sometime when you are in the city we should grab drinks/din/etc. Happy early-birthday!

wahhhh let’s do it again! this was too much fun!
Talk about jam-packed!!! Yeesh. I feel like I’d need a 18 hour sleep after a weekend with you, party girl.
I also like my french toast (and anything) swimming in syrup. The only way to do it.
