Spotted: At Grand Central

Can anyone help me make sense of what to do with this?
All the neighborhoods!
Sunday morning I woke up bright and early :) with some last minute New York City preparations to attend to. I enjoyed a toaster waffle with syrup before heading out the door for SFO.
My taxi driver was friendly and talkative; he told me to expect three things when I get to NYC:
1. You will spend a lot of money
2. The people are not as friendly as they are on the West Coast (save for the bellmen)
3. People never sleep
The United Airlines check-in and security lines were jam packed, but I arrived plenty early to run a few airport errands: bathroom, ATM, water refill, Peet’s coffee, pick up something for lunch, a selfie….
Apples to Apples: a finished Fiji and Nutrigrain bar.
The plane ride didn’t seem so long thanks to a long chat with the stranger/ex-coworker next to me, the decent book I had on hand, the time I spent drafting a blog post (it will have to wait a week because stupid Dropbox did not sync my photos even though I definitely told it to when I left my personal laptop this morning /endrant), and this lame-o salad I ate leaf-by-leaf:
airplane food: garden salad + orange + apple #2
As soon as I landed, the lady next to me asked if I wanted to share a cab with her into midtown Manhattan. Sounds great! I checked into my hotel room and then headed out to find something to eat. The light drizzle turned into a rapid downpour within the span of six blocks, so I abandoned my plans and turned back for my hotel.
My walk veered towards Bryant Park:
There was a giant screen playing old-school cartoons, but the rain obviously scared away the majority of onlookers…
Just when I thought I’d need to settle for something “ehh” due to hotel location/rain limitations, I walked past a little spot that literally called out to me: LAURRRREENNN…
Pistachio gelato for dinner? Ok!
I took my overflowing cup of gelato to Grand Central Station to look around. Immediately I thought of this:
Spotted: At Grand Central, bags in hand, Serena van der Woodsen
How about this instead… Spotted: At Grand Central, the creamiest pistachio gelato ever
p.s. these are my new digs for the next week:
Time for some training! Enjoy your Monday!

What a yummy dinner :) I’ve only had gelato a couple times, and everytime it’s given me the worst stomach troubles afterwards, so no more deliciousness for me :(.
That room is beautifull!! Enjoy your time in NYC
