Amsterdam: Beginnings
Posted by Lauren
Hello family and friends!
Both Nicole and I are spending the weekend away from home. While she kicks ass at a dance intensive in Las Vegas, I’m with Kyle on the first leg of our Eurotrip – Amsterdam!
I don’t have too much time to blog, but I’d like to post a sample of photos I managed to take on my iPhone. I’m using my DSLR for most places we go, so these won’t capture all we’ve done/seen/ate. Maybe at some time I’ll come back and fill in the gaps. Maybe not…
Friday
Train > airbnb spot > lunch at a cafe > Van Gogh Museum and audio tour > explore the city (i amsterdam sign, Museumplein, Dam square, etc), dinner at Grolsch cafe, grocery store stop, much needed zzz’s
Saturday
Brunch a la grocery store, rent bicycles, bike out to Ajax Arena, tour football stadium, bike to Amstelpark, windmill sighting, bike into town, stop for coffee, bike to awesome bar (t’ Arendsnest) with plenty of Dutch/Belgian beers, blogging now + traditional rijsttafel later!!
CHEERS!
Tijd voor het diner, tot ziens! (Time for dinner, goodbye!)
-Lauren

Ahh so excited about these recaps- makes me feel like I’m vicariously going on vacation! And Amsterdam really is a cool place- I loved the Van Gogh museum when I went there too! That picture of the bike and the treadmill looks picture perfect!
