Life has been really busy lately… which is probably why I haven’t been finding the time to check in on this lil’ blog. Dance practices are in full gear (Mon, Tues, and Thurs nights) and school is just starting to feel overwhelming. I guess that’s what happens after the “syllabus days.”

That said, I’m still finding time to enjoy the fun of college.

Monday: The first official night “on the Row”… yeaaaaaaa… Monday.

Tuesday –> Thursday: Lots and lots of school, dance, homework, and sleeping.

Friday: Date dash for the dance team. We took a party bus to El Cholo in Santa Monica. It was Mexican attire, hence the mustaches. I had a BOMB salad and then walked up, down, and around the Santa Monica Pier.

Saturday: My awesome roomie’s 21st birthday was last night and we celebrated with some champagne and cake on the rooftop. Afterwards, we hung out at our apartment and then drank some blue Powerade… or something like that.

And to fuel all the fun… lots of good food. I am eating eggs like crazyyyyy, mostly because they are extremely affordable. I’m also eating a lot of oatmeal, cereal, greek yogurt, and fruit (so basically, the usual).

Oh… and froyo. I heard it is a zero-calorie fat-burner… how cool is that?

Here’s to a good week!!!

Q4U: What are some affordable staple foods that you buy when you have a low grocery budget?

  1. If I’m feeling pretty low-budget (and mostly low-time), I’m big on the following: black beans (canned), canned tuna in water, Trader Joe’s Harvest Hodge Podge frozen veggies, veggie burgers, spinach leaves, and DEFINITELY some eggs.

I firmly believe that, as long as I could get spinach and eggs and hot sauce, I could live anywhere.
