Cast Off, Shakeout Run

I definitely have a head cold. Miranda, did you pass this to me?!
The highlight of my day was finally getting my cast removed!
The saw was pretty cool. After snapping the picture, they said “no photos.” Whoops.
After my x-rays, the doctor said:
- everything looks good!
- no strength training on the wrist for 2 months (right after Thanksgiving OK)
- therapy: just put wrist in a bucket of warm water and move it around in every which way a few times a week
- keep it easy the first few weeks – pick up your purse, the milk jug (I’ve been doing that anyways lol)
For lunch I went with something easy and heart-warming …minestrone soup with a nutrigrain bar and unpictured orange.
The soup tasted bad and I ended up craving another nutrigrain bar. The second time around I went with blueberry.
Around 3 pm I took two asprins to shake my sinus headache and focused in on a new task at work. I rarely listen to music, but this afternoon it helped me concentrate on the computer rather than my pounding head.
After work I went home and put away my laundry that’s been sitting on my bed since Sunday morning (whoops, again). Now I’m hitting the pavement for my first run since Sunday’s half marathon. Striving for a slow 4-miler shakeout!
