To all the people that think LA is always sunny:

Personally, I’ve been enjoying this week’s cooler temperatures. I got to wear jeans to class this week… for the first time this year!

Remember how I was excited about Big/Little Week last week? Let’s talk about that.

Day 1: The whole week is really well-planned because everything is kept a secret. The girls have to wait until the last day for the official reveal. We gave the littles a baked good and secretly put posters on their doors.

Day 2: We gave the littles a DG frame and some more treats for good measure. I passed down a frame that my anchor-sis gave me last year and wrote another poem with some hints. Of course I had to include some pretzel m&ms because they are the best thing ever and they remind me of my wonderful internship this past summer.

Day 3: In this package, we were told to include the DG big/lil sweatshirt and some more goodies. Turns out peanut butter m&ms are my little’s favorite candy…. it must be fate because those are one of my faves as well.

Day 4… or something like it: Because of last week’s unfortunate family news, I was not able to attend big/little night. It wasn’t until 7 more days later, on Thursday, that we officially got to celebrate the reveal! Luckily, a hoedown party was the perfect time to dance around to country music, get hydrated, and snap some obligatory big/little pics.

Me and Kayla:

I first met Kayla when we went out the first night after bid night. She is so so sweet and such a beautiful blonde! (We kinda have a blonde legacy thing going in our “family”). Even from one more night of hanging out I can tell that we are going to get along super well and have some good times together!

A little delayed celebration, but just as fun nonetheless. Oh, and another awesome thing- Kayla is from San Jose and went to the same school as a couple of my cousins. Gotta love the Bay Area connection!

Speaking of the Bay, I’m currently at home in San Jose because tomorrow is the Nike Women’s Half Marathon. I’ll be taking the train up to San Francisco later today and staying at my cousin, Aaron’s, house.

Check back later & enjoy your weekend!
