First Men’s Basketball Game (Dance VIDEO!)

Posted by Nicole

Hello, friends! Friday was quite a hectic day around these parts. Lauren and I started the morning with some breakfast- banana oat bran for her; eggs and veggies for me.

After our early breakfast, we headed to work. Lauren dropped me in Downtown LA on her way to her work’s office in Culver City. For lucnh, I ordered an amazing veggie sandwich from Market.

“The Italian Veggie Lavash Flatbread Wrap – grilled zucchini, roasted peppers, eggplant, marinated artichokes, goat cheese, arugula; served with roasted pepper-walnut sandwich”

Man, that thing was GOOD. Lauren picked me up later and we drove back to my apartment (after a quick trip for last minute groceries). I curled my hair, donned crazy performance makeup, and headed to join the Dance Force at the Galen Center. Later that night, it was game time! Our team played Coppin State University and Lauren had a nice view of the entire court.

…and a little closer up:

We performed once during the first half and twice during the second half. Here is the second routine:

USC Trojan Dance Force – Pound the Alarm from Nicole Olerich on Vimeo.

Luckily, it was an easy game to cheer for because we were ahead the entire time! The Trojans ended up winning 87-73, which is the most points the team has scored since Jan. 2010. Talk about a great way to start the season.

Fight Song and Alma Mater at the end of the game:

The game ended at 10:30, and Lauren and I took our extra energy into the fan store within the Galen Center. She ended up buying this snazzy jersey… shirt underneath not included.

We didn’t buy these ear-warmers, but they sure were cute!

And then we walked back to my apartment, talked until 1 AM, and I finally got dinner.

It was a fun first game and I’m looking forward to the next one on Sunday afternoon. Let’s hope I can walk after all the early morning miles.

Enjoy your weekend!
