10:30 – Wake up, check phone, decide it’s due time to get out of bed. Realize it’s Dec. 1st… woo! 20 days until home, 25 days till Christmas!

10:45 – Sit down at computer, check the social mediaz, watch Bones on Netflix on my second monitor. Have minor freakout that the Exposition Park Rose Garden is featured on the show (this is in between the USC campus and the Coliseum football stadium).

11:15 – Make breakfast of oat bran, cinnamon, stevia, banana, greek yogurt (mixed with¬†more¬†cinnamon and stevia), almond/coconut milk. In that order. It was a very photogenic breakfast……….

11:30 – Eat while wasting time on theBERRY. Then start working on my study guide for my astronomy final (even though it’s in two weeks…)

12:30 – Realize I need to officially wake up before I start studying. Head outside for a short run around campus.

1:00 – Shower and pack backpack. Put on frumpy clothes, complete with “eh” face.

1:30 – Walk to Starbucks for a study sesh. Enjoy a coffee with peppermint (obsessed) while working outside.

3:30 – Refill time!!! I’m so glad that Starbucks didn’t get rid of the $0.50 refills for gold card members.

4:00 – Walk back to the apartment and make lunch. Defrost some broccoli and cauliflower, cook with 2 eggs and some whites, add some marinara. Another very photogenic meal (not). Then an apple. Then some more studying.

4:45 – Study break/hangout at Lindsey’s apartment. Check out the view of downtown from the 8th floor of her apartment building!

5:45 – Drive to Whole Foods in West Hollywood. Decide that LA driving is the worst, turn up music, dance, try to lift my spirits. It took 40 MINUTES to go 8 MILES.

6:30 – Restock on oat bran and some other stuff.

7:30 – Arrive back at school. Vow to never drive on a rainy LA night ever again.

8:00 – Eat dinner from the Whole Foods hot/cold bar. Left to right: kale/spinach/tabouleh/nooch (added at my apt), caesar salad, butternut squash. And then a Clif Z bar.

8:30 – Compile this post. Not sure what the rest of the night holds. Maybe more studying. But probably not.

Q4U: Any good book recommendations?

Good morning!

Who is going for a run or bike ride? Who’s lifting weights or taking a yoga class? I’m going for a short run and will tackle one of Tina’s boot camp workouts as soon as I get this post up. After that, I have some work-work to finish up before I spend my evening in San Francisco with some of my best buds!

Let’s talk about yesterday (Friday). I worked from home and went on a Starbucks run around 10 am. (And by run I mean drive. It’s been so rainy here!)

The barista ran out of the blonde roast mid-pour, so she topped it off with their medium roast and gave me the whole thing for free. WAHOO!

Best snack of the day: kettle popcorn with cinnamon and ginger:

At 5:40 I got in my car and drove down to San Jose, once again reminded of how much I loathe rush hour traffic and how blessed I am to live 2 miles from work. What brought me to SJ? My little sister’s school play – Thwacked!

The musical was about a frog (who is really a princess) that gets thwacked in the head with an acorn. She thinks the sky is falling and alerts the other frogs and townspeople. They sing and dance and hop until a logical, fact-finding student deduces it was an acorn and not a piece of the sky. Silly and cute!

Katie had an important role – she was one of the two narrators!

The boy would make all kinds of dorky frog jokes and her dry humor responses were very comical…. Nice job Katie!

After her show, I went with everyone to grab food from _____________. Any guesses? Here’s a hint:

Marie Callendar’s! Just look at all the pies…… mmm.

Yes, that is my coloring sheet. You’re never too old. We all ordered food and anxiously awaited the complimentary cornbread. I haven’t been to a MC’s in over 10 years and got really excited when they set this bad boy down:

OMG. Cornbread is so good!

I ordered a slice of pumpkin pie to round out my meal. (And then I read Nicole’s latest post, Challenges, and realized I should cut back on the pie, candy, ice cream, etc too. Eep!)

Dad and me, on the way out. He let me steal half of his French fries!

On my way home I stopped at the gym to complete Friday’s scheduled 3 mile run and (an extremely scaled down) boot camp workout.

Which reminds me, I’m due for a workout round-up post. Soon. Soon.

Enjoy your weekend!
