I accidentally haven’t posted about my workouts in eleven days. I don’t think anyone noticed. Regardless…
Week 8 and 9 (my 12-week workout plan) About half of the time I managed to follow the schedule, that might be a new record!
Wednesday: Scheduled – 5×1000 track
Completed – 5×1000 sprints with 3:00 minute walk between intervals. I liked these.
Thursday: Scheduled – 50 min tempo run
Completed – Turkey Trot 10k (47:10 time, 7:36 pace)
Friday: Scheduled – Tina’s strength workout 8C and 3 mile run
Completed – I don’t remember if I I did 8C or not, but I found this photo on my camera roll. I guess I covered the planned 3 miles and walked to 5?
Saturday: Scheduled – Tina’s strength workout 3A
Completed – I went with Nicole to the gym near our mom’s house. I spent 30 minutes on the elliptical and then did 65% of 3A since Nicole and I were in a hurry to get to Steve’s birthday party!
Sunday: Scheduled – 16 mile run
Completed – Totally forgot about this!! I was not in the mood to run 16 miles in the dark or on the treadmill (uh, yikes!) so I ran for an hour on the treadmill and glided for an hour on the elliptical. 13 miles total.
Monday: Scheduled – Tina’s strength workout 3B + treadmill hill hike
Completed – did everything as scheduled, except I bicycled instead of the “treadmill hike”
Tuesday: Scheduled – 5 mile recovery run + core workout
Completed – I think I did this? Can’t find any pictures. I remember baking these cupcakes afterwards!
Wednesday: Scheduled – 6×600 track
Completed – 6×600 sprints with fast 200 meter jog between intervals. I definitely didn’t want to do this, but I’m happy I just went to the gym and got it over with.
Thursday: Scheduled – 30 minute tempo run
Completed – NOTHING! I needed a rest day so I took one! I won’t skip this week’s tempo run though, promise.
Friday: Scheduled – Tina’s strength workout 3C and quick 3 mile run
Completed – after Katie’s play, I did the 3 miles and then heavily modified 3C to take 1/3 of the time. It was 11:15 PM when I finished so you get why I wanted out. ;)
Saturday: Scheduled – Tina’s strength workout 4A
Completed – 1 mile warm up, abs, modified 4A (ran 400m instead of front squats for the 4 sets)
Next time I won’t wait eleven days, promise.
