Busy weeks have me thinking… “yeah, I want to blog… but I don’t want to be creative.” At these moments, I resort back to the main 3 F’s on this blog- Food, Fitness, Fun. (I’ve done this before if you feel like reading). I had an accounting final on Wednesday and it consumed all of my time on Monday-Wednesday.

I sent snapchats to prove my misery.

AND, I actually went to the library……. this does not happen often.

Food

I tried really hard to eat well this week because I’m sure I’ll be more than indulgent during this (birthday) weekend. I didn’t really succeed with the whole clean eating goal, but I did relatively well.

veggie and tofu udon (had to satisfy this take-out craving) // oatmeal with raisins and cinnamon; egg whites // fiber one bar // caesar salad; string cheese; toast with cream cheese // starbucks spinach, feta, and egg white wrap (OBSESSED) // egg whites; coffee; strawberries and blueberries // tomato bisque soup; salad // plain ol’ eggs // kale and mushroom lasagna; mixed greens

Fitness

Because I’m not dancing anymore, I have to try extra hard to stay on a consistent fitness schedule. It’s weird to go from working out 2-3 hours a few times a week to having to motivate myself for a 45 minute workout. Yikes.

Also, I tried to fit in morning workouts so I would be able to spend the rest of the day studying (with the help of endorphin-induced happiness).

Monday-

morning: 1.5 mile run, 1 mile incline walk, abs/random arm stuff

night: 3.5 mile run

Tuesday-

morning: 3.6 mile run through downtown

run downtown staple's center

Wednesday-

night: 2.5 mile run, 1.5 mile incline walk

I started running at 2.5% incline and gradually decreased down to 0.5%. Walking was at 6%. It was my first time running in my Frees since a few weeks ago, and holy cow, it’s such a difference. I definitely prefer my Brooks for running.

Thursday-

morning: 2 mile incline walk, 20 mins on the bike (levels 8-9)

I actually woke up 20 minutes before my alarm today. I think I’ve officially tricked my body into waking up before 8! I’ve also noticed a few perks of morning workouts… less crowded, mostly girls in the gym, Bravo reality TV (instead of ESPN), and coffee immediately after the workout.

Including Sunday’s 5K, I’ve had 14.7 running miles for the week so far, and I’m planning to join Lauren for a 10K on Saturday. (YEAH, THE NIGHT AFTER MY 21st. LOFTY GOAL, HUH?) It looks like this will shape up to be a good runnin’ week!

Fun

Honestly, this week has NOT been fun. I’ve had about 6 group project meetings and have studied at least 20 hours in three days. I’m wiped.

Soooooo, let’s flashback to last weekend. It was fun.

Thursday Night

On Thursday, after our final dance practice of the year, I went to our celebratory Dance Force Invite/Date Dash. We were told to dress up as a song from the Top 100 during our middle school days. My date and I chose “In Da Club” by 50 Cent… mostly because I wasn’t feeling creative. We were going to do Chris Brown’s “Run It,” but I figured I wear workout clothes more than a normal person and wanted something new.

We hung out at the dance captain’s house, then took a party bus to a sake/sushi restaurant, and then went to Korean Karaoke.

It was fun, despite my sassy face in the bottom left.

Saturday Night

I rested Friday and on Saturday night, I went with my little and some friends to the DG/SAE Exchange. The theme was “At Your Service,” and I took that to mean, “wear whatever, but somehow incorporate a ‘service’ item.” Hence the normal going out clothes/heels with an obnoxious construction vest. It counts as a costume, right?

I reallyyyyyyyy, desperately want my hair to grow. It’s way too short.

Then the boys came, we took buses to the exchange location, and it was dancing time.

Yepppp lots of good quality fun was had last weekend. I’m excited to see what crazy adventures happen this weekend! I’m flying home at 2:30 and I couldn’t be happier.
