Short post from my phone before bed….
After sleeping in, watching Silver Linings Playbook (for the first time), and eating a late breakfast, I set out for a X-mile run. Those are basically undetermined distance runs that I’ll assign a mileage goal mid-run, based on feel. I cruised around this girl’s old stomping grounds (aka Googleplex), ran past my oooold office building (aka LinkedIn), and stopped for a picture on the Bay Trail.
Yes, I wore a hat. I do that maybe 2x a year. Hats look odd on me, yea?
Anyways, I felt pretty good at that point (3.5 miles) so I decided to take the long route back home. At mile 8 I changed my route slightly to make a bigger box around the neighborhood ending at Starbucks :) for an even 10 miles.
I cooled down with a hot coffee (totally makes sense) and ~1 mile walk home. The run felt really good despite the afternoon sun. I didn’t look at my watch much and just enjoyed the leisure of a weekend run.

Later in the evening, Kyle and I drove to my mom and David’s to watch the 49ers v. Seahawks game. The lightening delay gave us extra time to catch up and eat nacho bean dip – yummmm!
For dinner we had hamburgers and raspberry/apple/feta salad.
And for dessert, we each had a Haagen-Dazs bar. We used to have those ALL the time as kids. They have a new peanut butter kind and I chose it over my beloved vanilla/almond combo.
The football game was incredibly slow and pretty painful for Niners fans. I was in a pickle because Russell Wilson is the QB for one of my fantasy football teams and although I wanted the Seahawks to lose, I still wanted the opposing quarterback to have a good game. #awkward
So here’s my “football 3 ways” from Sunday:
1. Silver Linings Playbook – a lot of Philadelphia Eagles exposure. Anyone see this? I didn’t think J. Lawrence was ohmygodsoahmazing…
2. Niners loss :( :( :(
3. Fantasy results: a loss in one fantasy league…
And a win in the other fantasy league.
I kind of want to write a post or two about what different fantasy football things mean — like WTF is the waiver wire, how do you get points, and how should you structure your team. Any interest?
