Hello from California, friends!  The two of us have been working on this blog for 1.5 years now – it’s always served as a positive expression of our daily activities and interests: eating, working out, going out, and enjoying time with family and friends.

Recording our daily happenings really allows us to realize the many great things that we are blessed with and love doing.  We hope you enjoy reading about our adventures and our delicious, sugar-coated foodie experiences.

A little bit more about us…

Lauren is a 25 year old that loves running, biking, baking, skiing, being an odd-ball, and making weird faces.  She currently works doing biz intelligence for a pretty legit company in Silicon Valley.  Her side hobby/business is Boo Radley’s Cupcakes.  This cupcake business is based out of San Jose, CA and serves the Bay Area.  She has a boyfriend, who makes many appearances on the blog.  He is a great cook and we always tell him to open a restaurant!

Nicole is a 20 year old that studies business marketing at the University of Southern California.  She loves being a gym rat, hiking, biking, watching endless amounts of online TV, and doing chores.  That’s right, she loves laundry, dishes, picking up dog poo, and cleaning in general.  It’s weird and she knows it.  She has worked at some great summer internships and is excited for post-college life!  At USC, she is a member of the Delta Gamma sorority and Trojan Dance Force.

Both Lauren and Nicole enjoy making good food for others, motivating each other to have active lifestyles, and participating in runs/races.  Some of their favorite pasttimes include dangerously devouring boxes of cereal, eating cream cheese frosting by the spoonful, and drinking copious amounts of Dr. Pepper and Good Earth Original Tea (no, not at the same time).  Another large hobby of their’s includes eating frozen yogurt.  They are basically frozen yogurt connoisseurs, and it is a bit frightening at times.

And some photos of course…

My name is Alyssa, and I am a senior Sociology major at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. I am currently working on my thesis project, in which I am studying self-presentation in the blogosphere. I have selected a handful of healthy living blogs to study, and yours happens to be one of them. My project is twofold in that I am going to do both a content analysis of the blogs I have selected, and I would like to interview each blogger. Would you be interested in participating in my study? Participation will require no more than an hour of your time, and interviews will be done via online questionnaire. Thank you in advance for your time!
